The custom built ‘Sigil’ guitar from Crimson Guitars

The ‘Sigil’ guitar is a new guitar design hand built in the UK, it has a solid padouk neck glued into a locally grown pearwood body which is topped off with a beautifully figured flame maple drop top.  Tone is key and to this end we have mounted the custom made twin humbuckers directly to the body, no one has satisfactorily explained to me why this works, but it does and that’s all we need to know.  We have created a custom set of carved rosewood pickup surrounds, these have an offset shape to match in with the Sigils custom body shape.  The whole guitar is finished in an oil finish that allows the guitar to breathe and vibrate freely and we’ve used a top of the range Wilkinson VS-401 tremolo, a carved ivory nut and rock solid Grover tuners.. all in all you have a unique, light weight (at 7.5lbs) hand made guitar built for speed, comfort and beauty… and it could be yours, a demo video will be released soon.
