I beging with a little organisation.. both in the office (the tax office have decided to lose my tax return and charge me for the pleasure!!)  and in the workshop.. here I paint one wall with chalkboard paint so that I can have a ‘to do’ list to hand..

on to Paul’s mighty Baritone.. the whole beast is sanded through from 120 grgit to 240

and then the engraving is added

the serial number and ‘custom built by Crimon Guitars is also added and filled in with dust and glue..

then the entire guitar has a few more dustings with even finer grits of paper..

and then the first of many coats of finish are applied..

by this time the new chalk-wall is ready.. and here is the extent of my memory of current orders.. more will surface when the computer is fire up!!

This new multi-lam neck has her truss-rod channel routed

and then excess mahogany ripped off on the bandsaw

the final width is planed with the No 7

and the headstock break-angle cut and planed in..

and the day ends with the ebony ‘board being glued in place…
