Firstly some news.. Crimson Guitars are embrassing the new age and from now you will be able to follow updates through the working day with these social networking sites.. on flickr you’ll be able to comment on the gallery photo’s.. enjoy!  You can link dierctly through the top menu..

As a begining much oiling occurs..

after quite a few coats of oil have cured she is gently rubbed down with 2500 grit paper which just creates an even better finish!

Nick’s neck.. the fret ends are snipped off and profiled

and side dots installed..

and it’s on to Ben’s Hollow Vanquish..

the figured top is selected and the configuration of the grain figured out..

the bandsaw.. she needed a new blade and a bit of a service!

before bookmatching the top.. after about here I use a push-stick to go the rest of the way.. we don’t need any maimings in the family!!

and she in her turn is strung and re-vibrated..

on to the paf here..

the variax system has been designed to make my life difficult..

but in rewiring the bridge thus, we should solve all our problems.. unfortunatly at this moment my soldering station (two weeks out of warrantee!!!) decides to blow up.. the other issue then encountered is that the replacement and spare will be delayed by the bloody postal strike!!

on to hardware.. version three of the trem was still not quite right.. when I started the testing process we came up with a few slight snags.. but that’s what prototyping is for!

e voila..

a truly custom bit of guitar hardware!

we’ll test her out properly next week!
