A guitars’ fret ends need to be bevelled at a 35-degree angle and then rounded over to make for the most comfortable neck that you can have. This new tool, a unique design devised by the luthiers at Crimson Guitars, safely and accurately files the fret ends to the required angle. The smooth wood runs along the top of your frets and does no damage there while the file works on both sides and so you don’t have to change the position of the neck on your workbench. The file is also carefully ground with safe edges so that even if you slip it is unlikely to damage your guitar and fits nicely above the top on most fixed neck instruments.
They are made in local English ash come finished in hard wearing melamine lacquer with a wax polish and as standard with a quality smooth cut file that is firmly glued along its entire length to the comfortable handle for the maximum stability and to keep the file perfectly flat. They are 2 inches wide and 4 inches long and made in the UK using predominantly exotic timber off-cuts from our guitar making business.
